what data do we collect?

none of it leaves your device. dianox has no internet access; the app does not connect to any server. no analytics, crash reporting, or advertising tools are used. no data is shared with any third party.

the app only stores certain information locally, on your device:

• over-time tracking data: values like battery charge cycles, free storage, charging power, and battery temperature are stored with their dates, only on your device (in the app's private local storage), so we can show you trends over time. this data never leaves your device.

your test results, measurements, and these trend records exist only on your phone — they are never sent to us or anyone else.

hardware permissions and why they are used

dianox requests the following permissions solely to perform the relevant hardware test. each is requested only during that test, after its purpose is shown. data obtained is processed instantly and immediately discarded — never stored, never transmitted.

• vibrate — to trigger the motor during the vibration test.
• record_audio — during the audio test, to measure the sound the speaker produces. audio is never written to a file, stored, or transmitted; only the sound level is analyzed in the moment.
• access_fine_location — during the gps test, to check whether the gps receiver works (visible satellites and signal strength). your coordinates (latitude/longitude) are never read, stored, or displayed.
• camera — during the camera test, to check whether the camera opens and whether a frame shows an obvious issue (dead pixels, smudges, blur). captured frames are analyzed in memory and then discarded — never written to disk, stored, or transmitted.

dianox does not request internet, network state, or app usage access permissions.

children's privacy

dianox does not knowingly collect any data from children. it does not collect data from anyone.

data security and retention

because all data is kept only on your device, in the app's private local storage, its security depends largely on your device's own security. when you uninstall the app, the local data it stored is removed.

about android backup

the app allows android's standard automatic backup feature. this is not an action we take — it is a feature of the android operating system. if it is enabled on your device, the app's local data (for example, over-time tracking records) may be backed up to your own google account. this backup is kept in your google account (not on our servers), is encrypted by google, and is not accessible to us.

if you don't want this, you can turn off android backup in your device settings.

your rights

because dianox does not collect, store, or process any personal data about you (other than local, on-device data), we hold no central data of yours to provide or delete. you can delete all local data yourself at any time by uninstalling the app.
